Micromax 3G USB Dongle Settings in Windows 8

if you have Micromax 3G USB stick and not compatible in windows 8 .....Don't worry ...

DO NOT CALL MICROMAX TECH SUPPORT... ..THEY WILL CONFIRM THAT IT WILL NOT SUPPORT IN WINDOWS 8

How to Connect Micromax MMX353G USB Modem in Windows 8

First, install the latest device driver for Micromax MMX353G USB dongle. And Close the Micromax USB manger from desktop and exit the Micromax MMX353G USB dongle completely from system tray (right click and choose exit).

Then, go to C – Program Files – MMX353G USB Manager – Driver.

Locate the file “InstallDriver.exe” and run it. After installing the driver, restart your computer and open “MMX 353G USB Manager” from desktop.

Open Device manager (just start typing device manger from Windows 8 start screen), and expand “Others”. Uninstall all “USB modems” listed that has a question (?) mark.

If “Others” isn’t listed, expand “Port” and uninstall the following:

1. Device Application Interface.

2. Device Diagnostic Interface.

3. Device Pipe.

Now, right click device manger name and click “Scan for hardware changes”. Start the MMX 353G USB Manager. The software will detect the modem and now you are ready to connect.

Solve No Device Found Problem

However I found a workaround to this problem.
I copied the file “cmnsusbser” from “ C:\Program Files (x86)\MMX310G 3G USB Manager\Driver ” to the location “ C:\Windows\System32\Drivers ”. Now every time I insert the Micromax Data card all I need to do is stop the “USB Modem MFC application” Process from the Task Manager and then restart the application (“MMX310G 3G USB Manager”). (Don’t forget to restart the computer.) It gladly recognizes the device.

    I am using this same USB stick. But when i am try to plug and install, It show error. Driver Installation failed. What i have to do. Can i download any Latest drivers from any website. If it is possible, Please Mail me. My mail id is vijaydhascr@gmail.com.

    My MMX352G 3G is still showing that no device found in windows 8. Though I have done all the above noted things

    1)Before install open the setup file(all the .exe files)-->right click-->properties-->compatibility-->ena... 'run this program in compatibility mode'-->select Windows 7
    2)Install the MMX3G software it shows Install Drivers...FAIL! and promote you to Restart your PC.
    3)Restart and change the compatibility mode for MMX353G icon in the desktop same as the step 1.
    4)And go to the c:\program files(x86)\MMX353G 3G USB MANAGER\driver\Win7_64\
    here you find the following files and do the following methods.
    i) cmnsmdm-->right click->install--->ok
    ii) cmnsser-->right click-->install-->ok

    5)Thats all...run the program you will find that network is searching and Available.
    100% tested

      That file is not install in windows 10

      But i got network of my moderm but not connecting

    Goto Device Manager, If there is usb modem or any other usb device with exclamation mark, manually install the driver. For this browse for driver files and point the file browser to c:\program files(x86)\MMX353G 3G USB MANAGER\driver\Win7_64\

    Repeat ther process for all usb device with exclamation mark.

    Now run the modem application. Device will be detected now.

    I have tried it and it has worked form my windows 8.1 laptop.

    After doing all the steps mentioned it is showing the connection but while connecting it is showing dialing failed

    Pls provide a workin link to download MMX200G updated driver which works in win8.. Else provide 310G's driver.. Hope that works with 200G also..

    When I connect my MMX310 3G USB manager with my PC (windows xp), there is no network status bar. No active connect option. In its Dignostics option-
    It shows, Operating information -
    Pin code status-ready
    network code - AIRCEL
    Network selection mode -auto
    Network mode- UTRAN
    Signal strength - 89
    Network status:-
    CS network resistration - Registered,Home PLMN
    PS network - not resistered, not searching
    PS network attachment - Detached
    Though it shows the operator name in operator information, still it doesn't show any status bar on main window & I'm failed to connect it.
    Please help me where does the problem & oblige.
